Description

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching science subjects to middle and high school students, fostering a love for science, and preparing students for future academic success. The Science Teacher will create engaging lesson plans, administer assessments, and support students in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities: Instructional Delivery:

Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state and national science standards. Teach various science disciplines, including but not limited to Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science, and Environmental Science. Use a variety of teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.

Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and respect. Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and orderly learning environment.

Assessment and Evaluation: Design and administer formative and summative assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.

Curriculum Development: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine science curriculum and instructional practices. Stay current with developments in science education and integrate new resources and technologies.

Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge. Attend staff meetings, workshops, and conferences as required.

Student Support: Provide additional academic support and tutoring to students as needed. Encourage and support student participation in science fairs, competitions, and extracurricular activities related to science.

Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues. Prepare and distribute progress reports and participate in parent-teacher conferences.
