Job Description:
Layton Christian Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Full-Time English Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature and language arts and a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. The English Teacher will be responsible for teaching English courses to middle and high school students, developing lesson plans, and assessing student performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans aligned with the school's curriculum and standards. Teach a range of English courses, including but not limited to, literature, composition, grammar, and creative writing. Utilize various instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, tests, and other evaluation methods. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents. Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and analysis of texts and writing. Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance the overall educational experience for students. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events. Uphold and integrate the Christian values and mission of Layton Christian Academy in all aspects of teaching and interactions with students.
