Description

Job Title: BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) at Mountain Sunrise Academy Charter School

Location: Mountain Sunrise Academy 

Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

About Us: Join our nurturing and innovative MSA community, where we are dedicated to providing a holistic educational experience that fosters the intellectual, emotional, and spiritual growth of our students. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team, providing essential support to students with behavioral and developmental needs. This position may be part-time or full-time depending on candidate experience and schedule. 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students.

  • Collaborate with teachers, paraeducators, and special education staff to implement and monitor BIPs and individualized education plans (IEPs).

  • Provide ongoing training and support to staff and families on behavior management strategies and techniques.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, making necessary adjustments to ensure student progress.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of assessments, interventions, and student progress.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that aligns with Waldorf education principles and promotes student success.

  • Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and contribute to the overall growth of the special education program.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required.

  • Experience working with children with special needs, preferably in an educational setting.

  • Understanding and appreciation of Waldorf education principles and methodologies.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the growth and development of students with behavioral and developmental needs.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with or knowledge of Waldorf education.

  • Additional certifications or training in special education or related fields.

  • Experience in implementing IEPs and BIPs.
