Description

NEW - ADMINISTRATIVE POOL APPLICATION PROCESS (application window: July 1 through March 31)

  • New Administrative Pool Applicants – If you meet the following qualifications prior to the start of the next school year, complete STEP 1 below:
    • have completed 5 years’ experience in education
    • will hold a current administrative license/endorsement by August 1
You may be considered for an interview after completing an Administrative application and meet all applicant screening requirements.

NEW - PAID FULL-TIME ADMINISTRATIVE INTERNSHIPS (application window: July 1 through March 31)
  • Jordan School District also offers paid full-time Administrative Internships. These internships are for educators currently enrolled or have recently completed a leadership university/college program. These positions are paid on a 187-day contract in the Teacher Salary Schedule: https://employment.jordandistrict.org/competitive-licensed/
    • Elementary positions receive an additional 20 paid contract days
    • Secondary positions receive an additional 10 paid contact days

  • Assignments are for 1-year only, with no guarantee of a permanent administrative position.
  • Internal applicants, if selected, will be treated as an employee on a leave of absence for that school year. Internal applicants chosen as an intern will have the right to return to a comparable licensed position at the end of the internship assignment.
  • External applicants, if selected will be on a 1-year only administrative internship assignment.
Paid Full-Time Administrative Internship Applicants MUST:
  • Be enrolled in a university administrative/leadership program, OR
  • Have a current in state or out-of-state administrative license, OR
  • Be in the current JSD Administrative Pool

UTAH STATE RETIREMENT
Benefit eligible employees are automatically members of the Utah Retirement Systems (URS). This means that the District contributes into the URS plan on your behalf each month. After the URS vesting period of four years, you will have either the Hybrid option, which is a combination of a pension with a 401k plan, or the 401k option if you choose. Both plans are employer-paid. You can also choose to enhance your retirement with URS by contributing additional money from your paychecks into a 401k, 457, Traditional IRA, or Roth IRA.
