Indian River Charter High School (IRCHS) is dedicated to providing students with a rigorous and comprehensive education that prepares them for success in future endeavors. IRCHS is a public charter high school (9-12) with a population of 700-800 students. It’s goals are to develop character, citizenship, cultural awareness, and academic excellence.
IRCHS is also rated an “A” school by Florida’s School Rating System and has been the highest-rated high school in Indian River County for the past 18 years. Students accept a great deal of responsibility within the school environment, from the open campus to Homebase expectations, and participation in community projects such as; cultural events, government meetings, and volunteer activities. Each student is expected to follow a 7-point behavior contract to remain a student. IRCHS participates in random drug testing for all students, staff, and board members. IRCHS strives to empower students to reach their full potential and make meaningful contributions to society.
Indian River Charter High School is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Substitute Teachers to join our dynamic team. As a Substitute Teacher, you will provide instruction, manage the classroom environment, and promote student learning in the absence of the regular teacher. This role is critical in maintaining continuity in students' education and supporting the school’s mission of providing a high-quality, innovative learning experience.
