Job description

Essential Functions:

Provide leadership and vision in the ongoing planning, implementation, development, direction, review, and evaluation of the district’s curriculum. Create positive relationships with teachers and administrators. Develop and maintain a confidential, collegial relationship with teachers. Work positively toward meeting identified district and building improvement goals. Work closely with instructional coaches focusing on individual and group professional learning that will expand and refine the understanding about researched-based effective instruction for teachers. Provide leadership and expertise in the areas of curriculum, instruction, and formative assessment Provide leadership and expertise in teaming structures for systematic school improvement (e.g. Building Leadership Teams, Instructional Professional Learning Communities) Facilitate systematic personnel development and systems supports in scientifically, research based instruction and intervention (planning, developing, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring) Evaluating, supporting, and coaching educational professionals Keep abreast of current educational research and practices; • Providing professional learning activities Work with assistant directors to complete grants to sustain funding and support innovative practices Participate on District teams and committees React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned. Work collaboratively and collegially with other instructional coaches, curriculum specialists, and district specialists. Working knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, and Mastery Connect. Able to create data protocols, and understands how to aggregate and analyze data reports. Predictable and reliable attendance. Working Environment:

Physical Requirements - Not limited to the following:

While performing the duties of this job, the Curriculum Director is regularly required to speak and/or hear. The Curriculum Director is frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, and crouch. Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. The coach must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
