Job Title: Norman Net Lab Facilitator
Credentials: None required for this position.
Education: High school diploma or GED; 2 years of college education or PARAPRO preferred.
Training or experience required: Previous work or volunteer experience with children, teenagers and or clerical experience preferred.
Reports to: Building Administrator
Contract: 175 days
Salary Schedule: Teacher’s Assistant
FLSA Classification: Non-exempt
Essential Job Functions:
Manage the online lab
Make sure that computers and printers are working properly
Enroll students in online coursework after receiving necessary forms
Provide students with an orientation and Norman Net Student Handbook
Review Norman Net policies and procedures with the student
Provide teachers and counselors with a shared google doc showing student progress
Work with the registar to make sure grades are transcripted accurately for students taking a class for the 2nd time
Work with teachers, site administrators and the Norman Net administrators to determine weekly eligibility
Monitor progress and communicate lack of progress with students
Create a google doc that lists all students who are served..Each student should only be listed in the document one time.

Successful performance of the job requires good customer service/people skills and to handle problems and provide information and technical assistance as requested. It requires complying with safety guidelines and policies to reduce accidents or injuries to staff or to students. It requires following school dress standards, proper attendance or leave policies, and other work-habits concerns for staff. Creativity, initiative and effective problem solving are critical to the success of the position.Help manage the computerization of school district operations. Provide training and support to district staff in the use of administrative computer systems. Perform such tasks to the ultimate benefit of the educational program. An incumbent in this position will utilize discretion, ingenuity and independent judgment due to the complexity of the job. Since there may be several ways to solve a problem, an incumbent is free to choose the solution.
