3rd Grade Teacher
Must hold a certificate issued by Florida Department of Education.
The certificate must be in one of the following types: Professional Certificate, Temporary Certificate, Statement of Status of Eligibility.
Duties and Responsibilities: • Foster students’ achievement gains from baseline assessment levels to be evident in pre/post tests comparison results, standardized test scores, and portfolios • Maintain student portfolios • Maintain and promote a safe learning environment • Establish, maintain, assess, and (if needed) modify individual student progression plans • Initiate and present innovative ideas for special projects, school functions, field trips, extracurricular activities, and clubs • Provide supplemental instruction • Attend workshops and conferences • Take initiative to implement projects and programs within the classroom and/or the school environment • Complete, distribute, and maintain files of all behavior and homework referrals as required • Complete and maintain files of all report cards, interim reports, and county test records • Maintain up-to-date lesson plans within the guidelines of the Franklin Academy curriculum • Maintain accurate record keeping on all tasks directed by the principal. • Complete all activities and needs that require teacher attention, action, or input. • Assure that each assigned student is academically successful, behaviorally and socially appropriate, achieves his/her documented academic goals, and demonstrates at least one full year of growth on standardized test measures
