Mountain West Montessori Academy, a public charter school located in South Jordan, Utah, is now accepting applications for a Classroom Paraeducator. The position is part-time, working closely with a highly qualified and experienced teacher in a Montessori classroom, supporting students academically and helping maintain intellectual curiosity, growth mindset, and the existing positive classroom culture.

Mountain West Montessori Academy will provide student-centered, individualized education, based on Montessori philosophy and research-based best practices. The educational program will focus on interdisciplinary connections and hands-on learning experiences.

In support of this mission, preference may be given to candidates who have previous Montessori teaching experience, hold Montessori certification, and/or are willing to undergo training to become Montessori certified.

Preference may be given to candidates licensed as paraprofessionals or possessing an Associate Degree or higher; however, we are willing to support the right candidate in becoming highly qualified. Preference may be given to applicants who have previous experience teaching. Candidate must also submit for and pass a background check in accordance with Utah's Department of Public Safety requirements.
