With small class sizes, a variety of academic and extracurricular experiences, opportunities for professional growth, and a supportive administrative team, employees at CCS come to know their colleagues and students as a “work family” in the truest sense.   Start Date: 2025-2026 School Year Position: 1st Grade Teacher • Regular duties and responsibilities include: o Providing engaging and challenging instruction in all content areas especially reading and math o Using a variety of instructional strategies for students with different learning styles and needs, including small group instruction and differentiated lessons o Creates a classroom environment that promotes learning and fosters age-appropriate growth and development for all students o Manages the classroom behavior of all students according to classroom rules and student handbook o Creating and posting lesson plans on a consistent basis o Maintaining an accurate and up to date grade book, providing students and parents with real time feedback on learning o Assessing student learning through a variety of methods including formative and summative assessments o Communicating with parents to inform them of student progress, including written, phone, or face to face conferencing as needed o Participating in meaningful professional development opportunities as coordinated by the CCS Administrative Team o Attending, supporting or sponsoring extracurricular activities and clubs as assigned  o Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Administrative Team • Physical requirements include: o Sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching  o Ability to lift up to 20 lbs o Ability to clearly communicate with students, parents, and staff  o Ability to travel to and from the workplace   • Required qualifications include: o Belief in Jesus Christ and status as saved Christian in accordance with the Christian faith and the mission of CCS o Bachelor's degree or higher in field o Ability to effectively communicate (written, oral) in standard English • Preferred qualifications include: o State certification in elementary education (K5-5th) o Previous teaching experience at the elementary level • Benefits include o Competitive compensation for private schools in this area o 401 K plan o Health and medical plan o Paid leave, along with breaks during the school year for holidays o Tuition discounts for employees who enroll their children at CCS
