Position Overview
The Millstone Township School District seeks a motivated, student-focused STEAM Teacher for Grades 3–5. This long-term replacement position is anticipated to run from January 4, 2027, through June 30, 2027. The successful candidate will provide engaging, hands-on STEAM instruction that promotes creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, and student curiosity in a collaborative and caring school community.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver inquiry-based, hands-on STEAM learning experiences aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards.
- Engage students in engineering design, makerspace learning, and technology-integrated projects.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, the instructional team, and administration to support schoolwide learning goals.
- Analyze student-performance and growth data, including district assessment data, to inform instruction, identify areas for targeted support, and help prepare students for applicable standardized assessments.
- Monitor student learning and adjust instruction as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Valid New Jersey Elementary School Teacher certification required.
- STEM (1107), science, technology, engineering, robotics, coding, or makerspace experience preferred.
- Strong classroom-management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative teaching environment.
Salary Range: $67,815 - $71,415
Salary & Benefits: *Per negotiated contract based on years of experience & degrees earned
