Description

Biddeford School Department is seeking: Special Education  - Education Technician  *Family-friendly Schedules ( Full-time and Part-time) *Rewarding and meaningful work *Supportive teamwork *Great benefits and Maine State retirement

Brief Job Duties: The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:

  1. Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by the classroom or special education teacher, and assist in drill and practice activities.
  2. Participate in required workshops at the request of the Building Leader, Supervisor, or Director.
  3. Perform non-instructional, non-evaluating functions, including suspension of students.
  4. Assist in the preparation of instructional materials or provide classroom management functions during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, etc.
  5. Alerts the teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student.

Full Job Description  

Certification/License: Certification as an Education Technician from the Maine Department of Education Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), which includes Fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education 

Education:  Appropriate for Ed Technician Certification Level ( 022)

Experience:  Experience working with students with Developmental Delays 

Compensation: Daily Rate - $125 per day

Live and Work in the Biddeford, Maine Community
