Harrison Township School District has an opening for a Part-time Business Office Clerk.
Qualifications: A high school diploma, preferably with business school or business college training *(grandfathering for those currently employed in position); Knowledge of computer technology and its applications; Strong mathematical aptitude; Ability to work well with others; Ability to deal with multiple tasks and duties; Ability to maintain confidentiality; Ability to accept and follow administrative direction; Ability to use "common sense" and to recognize emergency situations; Strong organizational and time-management skills
Reports to: School Business Administrator/Board Secretary
Job Goal: To assist the School Business Administrator in maintaining the functions of the business office in an efficient and organized manner.
Performance Responsibilities:
1. Maintain confidentiality in the department. 2. Process and track all Accounts Receivable related tasks, including proper depositing and recording of all receipts (example: tuition, student activities, facility fees, etc.) 3. Process Use of Facilities requests and maintain and communicate calendar changes. 4. Maintain staff attendance records and communicate with administration and payroll of any discrepancies or concerns. 5. Assist with directing deliveries and other visitors at the Business Office and Superintendent entrances. 6. Assist in the routine office functions as needed; opening and distributing mail, photocopying, filing, telephone, typing correspondence, etc. 7. Provide assistance to other Business Office staff, as needed. 8. Advise the School Business Administrator of any problems, concerns, and situations that may affect the school's smooth operations. 9. Any and all other duties that may be assigned by the School Business Administrator.
Terms of Employment: 12-month work year
Evaluation: Evaluation will be completed by the immediate supervisor in accordance with Board Policy.
