BERGEN COUNTY SPECIAL SERVICES ANNOUNCEMENT:  POSITION OPENING

The Board of Education is seeking applications for the 2026-2027 school year for the following position:

BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST (10 Months – Non-certificated) District

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in education or social sciences; Master's degree preferred.
2. Post-baccalaureate training in applied behavior analysis or comparable field preferred.
3. Specialized training and/or demonstrate expertise in school based applied behavior analysis.
4. Ability to conduct comprehensive formal and informal function behavior assessments.
5. Experience working with students with autism/disabilities – preferred.
6. Must be able to perform physical work, which requires frequent bending and lifting. Independently lift/carry up to 25 lbs., more than 25 lbs. with assistance.
7. New Jersey residence within one (1) year from date of hire.

Compensation Rate/Range: $70,174 - $80,074 - non-cert $73,690 - $111,682 - BCBA
