| The Activity Sponsor supports the planning, coordination, and management of athletic programs, ensuring smooth operations for all sports teams. | |||
| Qualifications: | |||
| * Licensed as a certified teacher and working at school of desired position |
- Completed mandated concussion training
- Previous experience in coaching or participating in athletics preferred, but not required
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work positively and productively with adults and student participants | | | | | Expectations: | | | | | **1. Follow and enforce all regulations, policies, philosophies, and administrative directives as set by the Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA), Board of Education Policies, and District 220 Policies.****2. Assist with the hosting responsibilities for all non-Conference, Conference, and IESA tournaments.****3. Attend all SMSC Athletic Director meetings.****4. Provide supervision of athletic contests when needed.****5. Help with interviewing candidates for coaching positions.****6. Share responsibility for managing and maintaining district athletic facilities to ensure the well-being of students, families and sta?.****7. Participate in the scheduling process for all athletic contests.****8. Seek to attain and maintain good public relations with students, parents, officials, opposing coaches, and sta?.****9.
