Position: Middle School Science Teacher

Posting Dates: August 14, 2026 - August 17, 2026 internal; August 18 - until filled external

Reports To: Athletic Director, Jason Dykstra

Starting Wage:  Based on the 2026-27 Schedule B pay in the AEA Contract

 

Effective Employment Date: 2026-27 Wrestling Season

Qualifications: 

  • Possess a great love of the sport and a high interest in helping individuals reach their highest potential
  • Good role model for student-athletes
  • Current knowledge of rules, fundamentals, teamwork, and the ability to relate to and reach teenage students
  • Strong commitment to building a successful program for student-athletes
  • Evidence of successful coaching experience at the varsity level preferred
  • Evidence of expertise in teaching the fundamentals of individual skills and team play
  • Evidence of the ability to develop a successful program
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills

 

Job Requirements: 

  • Select, instruct, and coach the team through the season at practices and contests
  • Oversee the development of players
  • Create a positive learning experience for all members of the team
  • Maintain all records, statistics, and awards information
  • Organize and run youth program
  • Monitor program budget

Language Skills: Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from the community, regulatory agencies or staff members. 

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Position requires standing and walking.
