Position Summary: Allendale High School's Head Varsity Boys Volleyball Coach is responsible for overseeing the Boys Varsity Volleyball team at Allendale High School. The mission of Allendale Public Schools is to educate, inspire, and support all students.
Description:
Organize and work with the Athletic Director to lead, coach, and direct the high school Varsity Volleyball season.
Qualifications:
Possess a great love of the sport and a high interest in helping individuals reach their highest potential Good role model for student-athletes Current knowledge of rules, fundamentals, teamwork, and the ability to relate to and teach teenage students Strong commitment to building a successful program for student-athletes Evidence of successful coaching experience at the high school level preferred Evidence of expertise in teaching the fundamentals of individual skills and team play Evidence of the ability to develop a successful program Strong interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills Teacher certification preferred but not required
Job Requirements: Select, instruct, and coach the team through the season at practices and contests Oversee the development of players at the Varsity level Create a positive learning experience for all members of the team Maintain all records, statistics, and awards information Maintain ongoing communication with players, parents, and media Organize and run youth program Monitor program budget
Language Skills: Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from the community, regulatory agencies, or staff members.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
