Biddeford Middle School is seeking: Long-Term Substitute - Middle School Math
Specific Job Details: Starting: Fall 2026
School Description: The Middle School is grades 5-7. We expect staff and students to embrace our three key pillars of learning: discovery, educating the whole child, and supporting them with a positive culture and climate.
Brief Job Duties: The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
- Developing and administering middle school curriculum
- Conducting ongoing assessments of student learning and modifying instructional methods to fit individual student needs, including students with special needs
- Encouraging parental involvement in students' education.
Certification/License: Certification in Elementary Education (020) from the Maine Department of Education Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), which includes Fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education
Education: Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment. Masters Degree in related area preferred.
Experience: Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels is preferred but not required.
Compensation: Based on education level, experience, and certification Range: $125 - $140 per day FLSA Status: Exempt
