School Counselor- full or part-time

The Vermilion Association for Special Education is seeking a full or part-time school counselor to provide counseling services to students with and without disabilities for the 2026-2027 school year.  Duties would include the completion of social developmental studies, student assessments, and implementation of individual/group counseling. The school counselor would also assist in writing IEP goals for students with counseling needs. Training will be provided, if needed, on IEP writing.   Minimal travel.

A $2000 per year stipend is offered to those with a National Board Certification. Board paid TRS and single health care coverage. Pay begins at the MS+45 level for all counselors! $3,000 sign-on bonus and $1,500 retention bonus every 3 years!

Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educators Licensure in School Couseling is preferred, but a LCP or LCPC will be considered.  Tuition reimbursement is available for courses towards ISBE certification.
