The Ferguson-Florissant School District is a community of families and neighborhoods located in suburban St. Louis, MO. Fully-accredited by the state of Missouri, the district provides an excellent comprehensive educational program for nearly 10,000 students from preschool through 12th grade. Summary of Position: The Secretary to the Chief of School Leadership provides high-level administrative, organizational, and operational support to the Chief of School Leadership and the School Leadership Department. The position serves as a primary point of contact for principals, district administrators, staff, families, and community stakeholders while supporting the effective operation of the District's school leadership functions. The Secretary to the Chief of School Leadership coordinates communications, scheduling, budget and purchasing processes, records management, meeting logistics, special projects, and departmental operations. The position requires exceptional organizational skills, discretion, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and providing outstanding customer service.

REPORTS TO: Chief of School Leadership

EMPLOYMENT TERMS:

  • 261 Days; 8 Hours Per Day
  • Non-exempt
  • Annual evaluation by Supervisor
     

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Office Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative support experience.
  • Experience supporting executive-level administrators preferred.
  • School district or educational environment experience preferred.
     

CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and standard office technology required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information appropriately.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, staff, families, and community members.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, flexibility, and problem-solving ability.
