EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time, 10-Month Position

POSITION SUMMARY
Roselle Park School District is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and compassionate individual to join our team as Behaviorist. The Behaviorist will provide support to students across all populations, staff, and administrators in special programs with behavior-analytic service. The Behaviorist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive behavioral assessments, developing and implementing individualized behavior intervention plans, providing training and support to staff, and coordinate ABA training for parents, and home providers to promote positive student outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid BACB certification as BCBA or BCaBA required
- Valid New Jersey Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst license preferred
- Valid New Jersey Educational Services Endorsement - School Psychologist, School Counselor, or School Social Worker OR
- Valid New Jersey Instructional Endorsements - Teacher of Elementary School and Teacher of Students with Disabilities preferred
- Demonstrated experience conducting FBAs, developing/monitoring BIPs, and providing staff coaching.
- Experience supporting students with ASD and/or complex behavioral needs in school settings.
- Strong data-based decision-making skills and ability to build capacity across classroom teams.
- Preferred: experience collaborating with CST, related services, and families; PBIS/MTSS alignment.
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct/oversee FBAs and develop, implement, and monitor BIPs using data-driven practices.
- Provide consultation and coaching to teachers and paraprofessionals to ensure fidelity of interventions.
- Support crisis prevention planning and de-escalation strategies consistent with district procedures.
- Collaborate with CST and related services to align behavioral supports with IEP goals.
- Maintain required documentation, progress monitoring, and reporting consistent with district procedures.
SALARY: $66,000 - $74,961 Final salary commensurate with experience and in accordance with the Roselle Park Education Association's collectively bargained agreement
