Anticipated Leave Replacement School Counselor
Roselle Park Middle School
Dates: August, 2026 - December, 2026
Responsibilities:
- Provide academic, career and social emotional support and intervention to students in grades 6-8.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 220 students.
- Create, implement and manage Section 504 plans.
- Participate as a member of the I&RS team.
- Conduct classroom lessons.
- Create and deliver school-wide programming to fulfill NJDOE initiatives (i.e. Week of Respect, etc..).
- Serve as a parent/guardian point of contact for academic and school related concerns.
- Assist administration and staff with daily school operations including but not limited to arrival/dismissal and lunchtime cafeteria coverage as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey Educational Services Endorsement - School Counselor
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with students, parents, staff, and community groups and organizations.
- Broad knowledge of testing and evaluation, theories of individual and group guidance techniques, elementary/secondary school guidance program design and career educational information and placement.
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
SALARY: $66,000.00 (to be prorated for contract term)
