Description
General Function:
With responsive care as one of its chief hallmarks, Christ the King School seeks a caring, responsible, and reliable individual to direct our After Care program. The Director of After Care creates a safe, warm, welcoming, and engaging atmosphere for students and families, designs engaging activities and events, and supervises students and staff in a variety of settings at the end of each school day. The Director reports to the school Principal. All responsibilities are to be in line with the Catholic mission of the school.
Hours:
- M, T, TH, & F 3:00 – 5:30
- W 2:00 – 5:30
- Half Days 12:00 – 5:30
- Follow school calendar
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements a schedule of engaging activities
- Provides time and support for students to complete homework
- Provides timely and positive communication to families and school office
- Provides safe and attentive supervision in a healthy environment with attention to food allergies and/or medication needs
- Maintains a clean and tidy environment for attendees and staff
- Coordinates work assignments for and supervises support staff
- Ensures accurate daily sign-in and sign out procedures and reports attendance records to School Office Administrator
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to effectively articulate the values and mission of Christ the King Catholic School.
- Experience working with kindergarten through middle school children preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage students with empowering consistency and care
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Compensation:
- Hourly position; $30.00 per hour – Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internals salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications. This position is not benefits eligible.
