Special Education Extended School Year (ESY) Program Behavior Specialist

The following position is available for the Special Education Extended School Year (ESY) Program, 2026.  The program will be held at Dorseyville Middle School, July 7 through July 31, 2026, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with instruction occurring from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  

Extended School Year (ESY) Behavior Specialist

The Extended School Year Behavior Specialist will be responsible for:

• Working with a team of educators to support students whose behavior interferes with their progress in the ESY environment.
• Helping individual and small groups of students with age-appropriate social skills and bahaviors.
• Working with teachers and parents to help them consistently implement behavior plans.

Required certification:  B.S. or B.A. in psychology, social services, or educaiton.

Preferred candidate experience and/or training:  Planning for and implementing program activities and skills in the areas such as those described above.
