Primary Purpose:
The Manager of College Readiness works with the Director of College Readiness and other RTCC leaders to support campus-based RTCC staff with all aspects of college and career readiness at Uplift. The Manager of College Readiness will support metrics that align most directly to the Uplift definition of college and career ready, which include, but are not limited to, College, Career, and Military Readiness and progress to graduation.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of College Readiness to implement a strategic approach to guiding scholars to prepare them for college and to give them access and supports to best maintain their future goals; a non-comprehensive list of data points should include the following: failing grades and intervention support, scholar attendance, graduation plan tracking, college readiness exam scores, and school-based plans for continued growth.
- Design and implement the network approach to the training and support of Academic Counselors, in conjunction with the Director of College Readiness. Provide direct coaching and support to campus-based Road to College Career staff, including teachers, counselors, and deans, to ensure campuses meet established goals and outcomes.
- Create and deliver professional development and coaching to campus RTCC staff around various aspects of their roles, including, but not limited to: graduation plan review and credit recovery, teacher support in academic practice, early warning and identification of at-risk scholars, and scholar coaching and guidance on executive skills.
- Support and maintain partnerships across DFW and the nation that focus on unique academic experiences for scholars to support their learning and experiences around college and career (e.g., dual credit, summer programs, and academic enrichment opportunities).
- Support Director of College Readiness on network-wide CCMR strategy, including, but not limited to: data management/ tracking, campus supports, and leading professional development.
- Support Director of College Readiness in district-wide, cross-functional projects, including but not limited to: Summer school/ credit recovery, master scheduling/ course offerings, CTE, and data dashboard maintenance.
- Create tools to support in the campus compliance with the Uplift Grading Policy and GPA management.
- Collaborate with the Director of Family Engagement, campus leadership, and RTCC teams to coordinate and facilitate various informational college readiness-centered workshops
- Maintain college readiness-related data (e.g., GPA, credit tracking, standardized test scores) by utilizing district tools such as Naviance, PowerSchool, and the Failing Grades Dashboard, and report it to campus leaders and CMO staff on a regular basis.
Education, Experience, and/or Certification(s)
- Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree (B.A./ B.S.) from a four-year college or university required. Master's Degree is preferred.
- Experience Requirements: Must have knowledge of and experience using the Texas Educational Codes. Previous 9th-12th grade educational experience highly desirable. Must have an ability to develop relationships and work closely with school leaders, families, and district leadership to drive and improve scholar results.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Communication Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills
- Bilingual Skills: Bilingual in English/Spanish is desirable
- Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel); Familiarity with various educational technology tools such as Naviance, PowerSchool (including PowerScheduler), Tableau, Shmoop, Aware, G-Suite, Canva, Qualtrics is desirable.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit and use the wrists, hands and/or fingers. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work at a desk and computer screen for extended periods of time.
Work Environment:
District-wide travel required. Occasional local and national travel is required. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours required.
Starting Salary: $65,000
