VACANCY NOTICE:  Title 1 Reading Teacher, Contract Substitute (Up to 3)
LOCATION: Elementary Building


EFFECTIVE: 2026-2027 School Year
POSTING DATE: June 9, 2026
APPLICATION DEADLINE:  June 13 or Until Filled 



QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Ohio licensure that permits the teaching of K–4 English Language Arts (such as Early Childhood PK–3 with a 4/5 endorsement, Primary Prek-5, or other appropriate licensure)
  • Ohio Reading Endorsement (K-12)
  • Demonstrated training and experience in teaching English Language Arts, reading, literature, and written communication
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the Science of Reading practices
  • Experience using educational technology and software to enhance literacy instruction
  • Proficiency in administering and analyzing multiple reading assessments
  • Training and experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in inclusive classroom settings
  • Familiarity with co-teaching models, team teaching, learning styles, and multiple intelligences
  • Ability to plan and deliver differentiated instruction that meets the needs of all learners, including remedial and enriched groups
  • Strong evaluations and/or outstanding recommendations from previous supervisors or colleagues
  • Willingness to serve as an active team member, including participation in the Ohio Improvement Process
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and curriculum development
  • Dedication to improving student achievement based on local and state assessment data
  • Meets the qualifications of a Highly Qualified Teacher as defined by state and federal guidelines
  • Willingness to lead and support family and community literacy events
  • Training and ability to diagnose gaps in reading performance and implementation of research-based reading and writing instruction
  • Willingness to collaborate with the literacy coach to support the implementation of research-based reading and writing instruction.
  • Understanding of and ability to collect required Title I documentation and artifacts
  • Experience preferred with one or more of the following curriculum resources:
  1. HMH Into Reading
  2. IMSE Comprehensive Orton Gillingham+
  3. IMSE Morphology+
  4. Heggerty Phonemic Awareness
  5. DIBELS (Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills)
