Independent School District 112 is located in the western suburbs of the Twin Cities metropolitan area of Minneapolis. The District is composed of eight elementary schools, three middle schools, and three high schools.

Position Start Date: August 1, 2026
Salary: $124,017 - $126,497 + Education credit up to $1,500, additional compensation with longevity up to $2,000 (contract under negotiations)
Responsible To: Building Principal
Job Summary: The Assistant Principal will provide instructional leadership, coordinate hiring of staff, provide supervision and staff development opportunities for staff. The Assistant Principal will also assist the principal in general administration and management duties.
Major Job Functions; Specific Tasks/Required Knowledge, Ability and Skills: See attachment.
Education/Certification Requirements: Must possess or be eligible for a valid license as a principal in the State of Minnesota.
Experience Requirements: Exemplary teaching and/or administrative experience is required (Secondary teaching experience preferred).
Benefits: Eligible for benefits as negotiated between District 112 Principals' Association and Chaska School District 112. This position is not eligible for overtime and comp time.
