Certification:
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) and current Oklahoma Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology licensure.
- Alternative Consideration: Licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) or individuals eligible for a temporary/clinical fellowship license may also be considered based on district needs.

Cleveland Public Schools is seeking an innovative and qualified professional to join our family as part of our speech and language services team. This position—whether filled by a certified Speech-Language Pathologist or a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant—will support these principles by providing direct services and contributing to the communication success of students across the district.
Specific Duties Include:
- Conducts screenings, evaluations, and re-evaluations for preschool and school-age students based on teacher or parent referrals, completing all required reports and paperwork in a timely manner.
- Develops IEPs, including evaluation summaries, goals, and service plans (MEEGs/IEPs), in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- SLPAs will assist with or implement IEP-driven services under appropriate supervision, as required by state licensure rules.
- Provides speech and language therapy according to student IEPs and maintains an organized schedule of services.
- Monitors and documents student progress and adjusts interventions as needed.
- SLPAs will provide progress data and documentation according to supervisory guidelines.
- Collaborates with teachers, parents, and the IEP team to support students' communication needs across instructional and home settings.
- Assists staff and families with strategies to support speech and language development within classrooms and daily routines.
- Helps create a positive, supportive learning environment and responds to individual student needs.
- Maintains accurate records, documentation, and timelines in accordance with district and legal requirements.
- Communicates effectively and professionally with students, families, staff, administrators, and community members.
- Ensures all practices follow district, state, and cooperative procedures and guidelines.
- Participates in required meetings, professional development, and school initiatives.
- Performs additional assigned duties such as recess, lunch, or before/after-school supervision.
