Job Title: Health Services Supervisor (District Wide)
Job Summary: To develop, direct and provide ongoing leadership and management of the health services functions including providing consultation and support to District health services staff regarding student health needs, coordination of services within the District and with community partners, and compliance with state and federal laws and the policies, goals and philosophies of District 834.
FTE/Hours per Day: 8.0 hours per day, 5 days per week, 48 weeks per year
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Master's degree in public health or health education preferred
- Desired experience in nursing management or health care administration
- Three to five years of professional experience in related area
- One year of supervisory experience of health care employees
- Experience in a school district setting preferred

Salary Range: As per the Coordinators, Supervisors & Specialists 2026-2027 Terms & Conditions Salary Schedule, $112,569 - $121,675 (D63). A generous insurance plan is including medical, dental, vision, life and LTD insurance. We also offer a 3.5% 403b employer match and a pension through MN PERA. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directs, supervises, and develops assigned staff, including Health Paraprofessionals and Healthcare Specialists and is responsible for their selection, work assignments, evaluation, work procedures, training and, if necessary, discipline.
- Provides oversight and day to day work direction of Licensed School Nurses, in collaboration with the Director of Student Support Services.
- Assists in the hiring and evaluation of Licensed School Nurses.
- Oversees and leads the administration of the District's health services program including regular assessment and evaluation of program needs and requirements.
- Ensures appropriate staffing levels are maintained to ensure continuity of services at the building level including securing and training substitute health services staff as needed.
- Develops, coordinates and implements staff development opportunities and required training and for all Health Services staff aligned with District goals/mission, and in compliance with state and federal laws.
- Assists in the development and monitoring of the health services budget.
- Ensures compliance with District and program policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal laws related to health services, including but not limited to, required training, reporting, and monitoring.
- Ensures the timely and accurate completion of state and federal compliance reports and reporting responsibilities as required or requested.
- Provides direct nursing services to students as needed to ensure consistency and compliance with student health plans.
- Administers/writes student health assessments and individual health plans as needed.
- Acts as a liaison between the District and community medical resource providers.
- Orders and maintains supplies and equipment.
- Provides consultation and support to building and District administrators, and District health services staff regarding individual student health needs.
- Acts as a resource for classroom instruction
- Prepares pertinent article for employees and parental communications
- Actively represents the district in community-based and state organizations where there are mutual interests.
- Participates in District activities and meetings related to health services.
- Performs other job related duties as requested or assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
- Hold a current Minnesota Driver's license and is able to travel between district buildings and outside of the district.

- Knowledge of state and federal laws, regulations and reporting requirements governing school districts, and health services in particular.
- Ability to clearly explain, interpret and apply policies, procedures, protocols, regulations and legislation established by the Board of Education and/or mandated by state or federal government.
- Ability to review and recommend action on reported policy violations in a manner consistent with federal, state and District regulations and guidelines.
