Located in the beautiful Maple Leaf community of north Seattle, St. Catherine of Siena School serves approximately 275 students in preschool through 8th grade.

St. Catherine of Siena School is seeking a part-time summer Custodian Assistant to support the cleanliness and upkeep of our school campus. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual who takes pride in helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and families.

This flexible position is ideal for someone looking for supplemental hours and who enjoys a variety of hands-on tasks in a supportive school community. Hours will vary based on campus needs, and the school will work with the selected candidate to develop a mutually agreeable schedule. The position averages approximately 5–10 hours per week throughout the summer.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning tasks throughout the school campus
• Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
• Emptying garbage and recycling containers
• Cleaning bathrooms, gym areas, and common spaces
• Basic landscaping and outdoor cleanup
• Moving furniture and equipment for classroom and event needs
• Assisting with occasional summer or campus setup projects as needed

Requirements and Qualifications

• Must be 17 years of age or older
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong time management and reliability
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job, including:
  • standing/walking for periods of time
  • lifting and moving furniture or equipment
  • bending, carrying, and general physical tasks
• Good verbal and interpersonal skills
• Prior custodial or maintenance experience preferred, but not required
• Must pass a background check and participate in Safe Environment training

Pay and Benefits

• Hourly wage ranges from $21.50–$22.50/hour Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
• Position is not benefit-eligible
