Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) Part -Time
Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Valid New Jersey Educational Services Certificate and Learning Disabilities Teacher
Consultant Endorsement
2. Demonstrate knowledge of laws and regulations governing special education
3. Experience in the educational evaluation and design of specialized programs for
students with disabilities
4. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development,
learning assessment and diagnosis, and the needs and demands of the classroom
professional.
5. Computer literate: ability to utilize various software programs as required by the
district and for Individualized Educational Program (IEP) case management
6. Strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
7. Hold and maintain a valid driver's license with no serious violations
8. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal
resident alien status
JOB GOAL:
To provide a full range of services as a member of the Child Study Team in the
identification and diagnosis of perceptual and learning disabilities, in the
prescription and delivery of appropriate and effective educational services and
programs, and to promote an understanding of the needs of students with disabilities
to the instructional staff.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
1. Salary will be prorated (based on part-time equivalent) of WTEA Teacher Guide, Step 1, provided below. Salary may be negotiable based on experience.
Step 1 BA: $61,025, Step 1 BA + 30: $63,577, Step 1 MA: $64,852, etc.
