Description

Job Description: Assistant Principal of Operations (APO)

1. Manage all non-instructional functions of the school, including but not limited to attendance, enrollment and registration, facilities maintenance, transportation, and finance.


2.  Oversee employee attendance and overtime hours, and report to principal and payroll department.


3.  Maintain continuous communication with finance department at the central office regarding payments and needs of the school; process bills/receipts.


4.  Oversee and coordinate facility / building needs assessment and maintenance.


5.  Supervise non-teaching staff and evaluates their job performance.


6.  Oversee supervisory staff, schedule, and procedures for recess, lunch, and before and after school; fill in as necessary.


7.  Manage all school vehicles and follow up with any issues that may occur.


8.  Oversee the school lunch program and involved in reporting and tracking of the meal count.


9.  Oversee and coordinate daily bell schedules, before and after school student transportation or parent drop-off and pick-up routines.


10. Oversee the bus operations of the school and follow up with any situation that may happen.


11. Lead the asset management software for uploading new furniture and technology to the main database.


12. Review each purchase request and make an initial decision if it will be approved or not and follow up with questions of concerns if any.


13. Oversee and coordinate substitute scheduling; establish and maintain a system to bring external sub-teachers when necessary.


14. Perform enrollment interviews with prospective parents and students.


15. Serves as a member in the school's hiring committee and actively participates in interviews, especially for non-teaching staff.


16. Plans, schedules, and coordinates the use of transportation for school sponsored student activities and athletics.


17. Truancy officer duties and responsibilities.


18. Establishes support systems to ensure active participation in the contests and events organized by Concept Schools.


19. Oversee the construction, remodeling or renovating of current or future facilities.


20. Implement or oversee environmental management or sustainability programs addressing issues such as recycling, conservation, or waste management.


21. Monitor operations to ensure that staff members comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, environmental policies, or government regulations.


22. Oversee all compliance trainings (e.g., safe school, lockdown, child abuse, and etc.)


23. Establishes and maintains functional safety plan and procedures and conducts drills to ensure safety and compliance.


24. Perform other administrative duties as assigned.


 


Administrative Certification: Required



Job Type: Full-time



Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
