Primary Purpose:
Under the direction of the Principal and Vice Principal, provide reception, clerical, and administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the campus office. Serve as a primary point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors while working directly with campus administrators to support daily school operations.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to operate multi-line phone system
Ability to multi-task
Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records
Ability to use software to develop or maintain spreadsheets and databases and do word processing
Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills
Basic math skills
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
Experience:
Administrative Assistant/Clerical Experience (preferred)
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Reception and Phones
Receive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.
Greet and direct campus visitors. Maintain visitor log and issue visitor passes.
Assist parents in checking students in and out of school.
Prepare and distribute student identification cards, bus passes, and parking stickers.
Assist with the receipt and distribution of student materials, including homework requests.
Receive, sort, and distribute mail, messages, documents, and other deliveries.
Administrative Support
Work directly with the Principal and Vice Principal to support daily campus operations and administrative needs
Assist administrators with scheduling appointments, meetings, and campus activities
Provide clerical and organizational support for campus programs, events, and communications
Prepare correspondence, reports, forms, and other documents as assigned by administrators
Maintain calendars, records, and files for campus administration as needed
Other
Provide clerical assistance as needed including assisting with the scheduling of appointments.
Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.
Maintain confidentiality.
Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Tools/Equipment Used: Multi-line phone system; standard office equipment including personal computer
Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching
Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
