Position Title: Assistive Technology (AT) Coordinator
Bargaining Unit: ASCSA
Location: Earhart Administration Building
Reporting Relationship: OSE Assistant Superintendent

Education and Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Special Education (or related field)
- Demonstrated ability and knowledge of assistive technology devices, techniques and materials
- Hands-on experience in the area of assistive technology
- Technical knowledge of Macintosh, PC Windows, Chromebook and iPads, hardware, software, apps and extensions
- The ability to build rapport, take initiative, work effectively and collaboratively with assistive technology team, students, staff and parents/guardians
- Demonstrate leadership skills for building capacity and facilitating AT vision and goals
Preferred:
- Master's Degree or Certificate in Assistive Technology
- Experience with Follett Destiny Resource Manager software system for the maintenance of assistive technology assets
- Experience with coordination, design, scheduling and implementation of AT professional development
- Experience collaborating with vendors for assistive technology purchases
- Ability to collaborate with district and building AT teams, staff and parents
- Ability to facilitate and build capacity in the development and implementation of the Assistive Technology Decision-Making Process (ATDMP)
- Ability to monitor Help Desk processes for proper resolution and approval of AT requests
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Report to the OSE administrators on all matters relative to assistive technology within the district
- Coordinate and deliver assistive technology supports and services within the district
- Conduct AT Team meetings
- Monitor Help Desk processes for proper resolution of AT requests
- Monitor and approve AT acquisition and distribution
- Promote ongoing collaboration with AT consultants to support best practices in assistive technology and ensure successful implementation of AT goals
- Provide consultation to staff and parents to support the Assistive Technology Decision Making Process (ATDMP) for IEP and Section 504 students
- Coordinate professional development and training efforts for OSE to build capacity, support instruction and improve compliance
- Create and manage purchase order requests; provide supporting rationales and projections for future purchases
- Maintain and update Destiny Resource Manager; inventory and tag devices
- Act as software manager for specific software systems (i.e. Bookshare, Learning Ally, CoWriter, Snap & Read, etc.)
- Attend county-wide Assistive Technology Meetings at WISD
