Location: South High
Position: 12-month calendar; 8 hour days
Status: Non-Exempt
Open Date: 5/27/2026
Closing Date: 6/4/2026
Hours: 2:30pm – 11:00pm
Starting Pay: $21.23 per hour (and up based on verifiable experience)
Essential Job Functions:
Oversee work of up to thirteen custodians including assigning work; reviewing completed work of staff; providing feedback to staff; collecting and reviewing performance data; training new employees; giving instruction on proper cleaning; and monitoring attendance of staff. Duties also include sanitizing restrooms; mopping, sweeping, and scrubbing floors and other hard surface flooring; cleaning and dusting furniture, windows, doors, and other related furnishings; moving furniture; and locking and securing all doors.
Qualifications:
- Prefer 3+ years custodial experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of personnel
- Extensive walking, standing, and bending responsibilities during normal shift; ability to lift 50 pounds and use 10-pound backpack vacuum; capable of climbing ladders of up to 12 feet
- Strong customer service orientation
- High School Diploma or GED
- Able to understand and communicate in English for basic job-related duties and response for safety
