Prairie Winds Elementary School is looking for a Part-Time (.6 FTE) Speech/Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. The Speech Language Pathologist screens, identifies, assesses, diagnoses, refers, provides interventions for and counsels students with or who are at risk for: articulation, fluency, voice, language learning, communication, swallowing and related disabilities which impact educational and/or social development. Candidates will conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings; administer standardized, non-standardized, and alternative assessments and prepare reports for the purpose of initial, triennial, transition, and dismissal staffing. Candidates will analyze and interpret assessment information to make recommendations regarding needs of the students, considering bilingualism, limited English proficiency, cultural/linguistic diversity, infants and toddlers, cognitive, hearing, visual, neurological, orthopedic, or multiple impairments, and social/behavioral concerns. Candidates will recommend and refer for audiological and related services. Master's degree in Speech/Language or Communication Disorders required and must have a Colorado Special Services Provider License with Speech/Language endorsement. Certificate of Clinical Competence (American Speech Language Hearing Association preferred) is preferred.
Exact placement on the pay schedule will be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. This pay range is based on education and experience levels with a range of $44,550 - $75,279. As a guideline, we offer up to 18 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 19, per school board policy. The current teacher pay schedule can be found on our website.
