To provide exceptional leadership in the development, implementation and coordination of the district's curricula, and to implement a supervisory process that will cultivate and strengthen teachers' instructional capabilities.
Qualifications:
* Valid New Jersey Supervisor, School Administrator or Principal certificate.
* Instructional certificate with an endorsement in Mathematics.
* Minimum of three years successful teaching experience.
* Possesses strong knowledge of content and current pedagogical practices.
* Demonstrated leadership in school improvement, program development and curriculum integration and application of technology across the curricula.
* Ability to plan, organize and administer a professional development program within the school community.
* Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
Responsibilities:
* Work with assistant superintendent of curriculum & instruction, principal, subject matter specialists, and teachers in developing the total school curriculum, and assist in the formulation of philosophy, goals, and objectives for the instructional plan.
* Recommend to the assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction and principal, based on review and assessment, the addition of courses, grade placement, credit allowance, and graduation requirements.
* Coordinate the selection of textbooks and instructional materials throughout the district through the use of faculty committees, and recommend those selected to the superintendent for adoption by the board of education.
Terms of Employment:
Base Salary: $101,500.00
Employment Period: Eleven (11) Months
