Non-Instructional Support
Description
Washington Middle School is looking for a dependable, Full Time Custodian to help keep our school clean, safe, and welcoming for students and staff. If you take pride in your work and enjoy making a difference behind the scenes, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
- Clean classrooms, restrooms, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors
- Empty trash and restock supplies
- Set up and take down spaces, furniture, and equipment for school activities and events
- Perform minor repairs and report maintenance needs
- Help maintain school grounds and outdoor areas
- Respond to spills and unexpected clean-up needs
- Secure the building at the end of shifts
What We're Looking For:
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Good attention to detail and time management
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stay active throughout shifts
- Basic knowledge of cleaning methods (experience a plus, not required)
- Ability to complete required pre-employment screenings, including a custodial physical
