Glenbrook South High School is seeking a Long-Term Substitute - English Teacher to cover an extended leave of absence. The anticipated dates are August 11, 2026, through November 5, 2026. Applicants should be committed to meeting the needs of a wide range of learners through differentiated instruction, strong classroom management, and meaningful student engagement.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must hold or be eligible for a Professional Educator License
- Certification in Secondary English and ESL
- Demonstrates strong instructional practices aligned to high school English and EL curriculum standards
Compensation:
- Daily rate for internal/external candidates: $392.46
- Daily rate for D225 retirees: $523.28
This position is not eligible for benefits.

Glenbrook High School District 225, commonly referred to as the Glenbrooks has a student enrollment of approximately 5,000 students.
