Description
Transportation Credentialing and Lab Aide
Requirements:
- Licensed Ohio Teacher preferred; or
- A minimum of at least two years of working in a related career tech lab as a CTE Aide
- Experience in an educational setting preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Currently hold, or able to obtain, an Educational Aide permit issued through the Ohio Department of Education
- At least two years' experience in operating large trucks and equipment
- Have, or the ability to get CDL.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Help prepare, organize, and maintain instructional materials, tools, and equipment.
- Support students during hands-on activities, simulations, and equipment operation exercises
- Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, or safety concerns to the instructor promptly.
- Track and document student progress toward CDL-related competencies as directed by the instructor.
- Assist with scheduling, coordinating, or supervising practice sessions related to pre-trip inspections, backing maneuvers, or other CDL prep activities (as allowed by school policy).
- Maintain organized records of student hours, assessments, and required documentation.
- Ensure students understand expectations, deadlines, and requirements for CDL readiness.
- Monitor student progress within the online driver's education platform.
- Communicate with students about missing assignments, pacing expectations, or technical issues.
- Monitors student progress on a daily basis
- Communicates student progress to staff
- Maintains daily attendance records
- Provides regular updates on student progress and completion to instructors and campus administration
- Coordinates with IT staff to ensure proper working order of all technologies
- A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
Start Date: Mid-August, 2026
Salary: $24.08 per hour minimum
Hours per week: 35-37 hours, Monday - Friday
