Carroll Jr./Sr. High School is seeking a passionate and student-centered Junior High Science Teacher for the upcoming school year. This position includes teaching 7th and 8th grade science classes.
The ideal candidate is committed to helping students grow academically and personally while fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through engaging science instruction. We are seeking an educator who is student-focused, relationship-driven, and passionate about working with adolescent learners.
Candidates with additional training or professional development in science instruction, literacy integration, STEM, or inquiry-based learning are preferred. Strong relationship-building skills with junior high students are essential, as the successful candidate will foster a positive classroom culture that supports student growth, engagement, and achievement.
Preferred qualities include:
- A passion for helping students develop scientific thinking and problem-solving skills
- The ability to create engaging, hands-on, and meaningful science learning experiences
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills with adolescent students
- A willingness to collaborate with colleagues and school programs
- The ability to integrate literacy, critical thinking, and real-world applications into science instruction
