PAY RANGE: Licensed Salary Schedule, $30,002 - $62,317 Annual Salary
CALENDAR: 190 Days
REPORTS TO: School Director/Principal
SCHOOL DESIGN OVERVIEW:
The Performing Arts School on Broadway serves grades 7-12 and pairs rigorous academics with performing arts through an educational approach rooted in innovation, imagination, and intention. Students will have opportunities to master geometry through construction and set design, bring history to life on stage, study science through sound and music, and push their creativity through technical art. Students may also choose to participate in the Technical Theater/Theater Design Pathway. The school's Technical Theater/Theater Design Pathway puts students at the heart of the action in the studio, on the stage, or even in the sound booth. Using the sophisticated performance rooms and professional production equipment, students hone their skills in theatrical production.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Colorado teaching license with an appropriate endorsement in Dance required.
- Additional endorsement(s) in Drama Theatre Arts and/or Music preferred.
- Experience in choreography, performance, dance production, or interdisciplinary performing arts preferred.
- Additional endorsement in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education preferred, *or willingness to pursue endorsement or equivalent coursework. *
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCES:
In coordination with the school's Performing Arts Coordinator and under the direction of the school principal, the Dance/Performing Arts teacher plans instruction, designs coursework, and delivers a comprehensive dance education program to students in grades 7–12.
Students at all levels participate in performing arts coursework throughout the school year. Courses may include dance technique, choreography, composition, movement for theater, dance history, performance studies, and production preparation. Instruction should align with the Colorado Academic Standards for Dance and support students at varying experience levels.
The Dance/Performing Arts teacher collaborates with the performing arts team to support annual productions, highlights, and interdisciplinary performances. Responsibilities may include choreography, rehearsal direction, performance preparation, and collaboration with theater, music, and technical theater staff.
Competitive applicants may also be able to offer instruction or experience in additional performing arts areas such as theater, vocal music, instrumental music, technical theater, or stage production. Candidates should be familiar with a variety of styles (ballet, jazz, modern, tap, etc.). TRAINING:
- Mandatory Title IX training is required by the Colorado Department of Education and for all public-school employees. Title IX training addresses harassment, discrimination, and bullying. Completing these mandatory Title IX training courses ensure we are meeting state requirements while continuing to foster a culture of safety and belonging across our schools.
- You will have two mandatory training courses that must be completed within 30 days of your date of hire and are required to be completed on your own time.
