The Briarcliff Manor SD is seeking an eager and highly qualified Physical Education teacher to join our dynamic team of educators and fulfill our mission of providing students with an outstanding education and to develop each student's capacity to put their thoughts and aspirations into action.

Tenure-track: Yes
Current Location: Todd Elementary School (K-5)
Effective Date: 8/31/26
NYS Certification Required: Physical Education
Salary: Briarcliff Teachers' Association Collective Bargaining Agreement

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate physical education lessons aligned with NYS learning standards.
- Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and lifelong fitness habits.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student success.
- Maintain a safe and supportive classroom and gym environment.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide events as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State certification in Physical Education (K–12)
- Prior teaching experience preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start date).
Location:
- Physical Education teachers are K-12 positions and may be reassigned to other buildings year to year
