Substitute Teacher 2026-2027 school year

This application is only for new D181 substitute teachers or substitutes who have not subbed in D181 for over 1 year (including retired D181 teachers) for the 2026-2027 school year. 

A valid Illinois Teaching Certificate or Substitute Teaching Certificate is the first requirement to becoming a substitute teacher.  Rate of pay $150.00 per day for a certified position.

A valid Illinois Para Professional license or Substitute Teaching Certificate is required to sub in an Instructional Assistant position or as a building secretary . Rate of pay $110.00 per day
