Calendar and Compensation
- $148,891.66 - $198,888.68 annually (CMC Salary Schedule, Range 17)
- Generous health plan options (medical, dental and vision), including several that require no employee contribution for full family coverage
- 260 day calendar
- $80 monthly mobile/cell allowance, upon request
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Directs, maintains, and administers all network operations.
- Establishes and implements network operating policies and procedures.
- Develops long-range plans for system use,determining options to fulfill district needs, conducting feasibility studies,and providing technical recommendations.
- Implements, updates and evaluates the District Technology Plan.
- Designs and maintains Wide and Local Area Networks.
- Confers with network, hardware, and software consultants on an as-needed basis.
- Prepares and monitors annual budget for network use.
- Monitors system(s) development
- Confers with management staff to develop project/program specifications
- Identifies and defines potential and/or existing technology needs/problems and develops and recommends solutions.
- Confers with hardware manufacturers regarding equipment needs, maintenance, and contractual requirements.
- Assist in the development of course content of technology courses taught in the district.
- Works with other district staff to assure the full implementation of technology.
- Directs, supervises, and evaluates the work of departmental staff, including other managers and supervisory personnel.
- Maintains and administers the computer system in the Business Administration Office of the district, including restoring payroll, correcting file capacity, and trouble-shooting.
- Maintains the security of backup files both on and off-site.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Knowledge
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent education in computer science.
- Knowledge and use of wide-area network structures.
- Knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques, procedures, and practices used in the development and implementation of network systems and programs.
- Knowledge of the principles and advanced techniques of programming and systems analysis in a database/teleprocessing environment.
- Knowledge of wide area and local area network operations, services, and methods. Knowledge of the proper use of networking equipment and software applications. Knowledge of current management and supervisory techniques and methods. Knowledge of wide area and local area network terminology and designated programming languages.
- Ability to effectively analyze, design, program, and evaluate complex technological systems and situations.
- Ability to effectively direct and supervise project management activities and personnel, including estimating costs, supplies, equipment, and human resource needs.
- Ability to quickly identify complex technical/operational problem areas or situations and implement corrective actions to remedy.
- Ability to effectively plan, organize, coordinate, and prioritize work assignments and schedules. Ability to effectively and persuasively communicate in both oral and written forms.
- Ability to successfully control and monitor assigned budget. Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with those contacted in the performance of required duties
