Elementary Teacher - Math Interventionist

TITLE: ELEMENTARY  TEACHER–MATH INTERVENTIONIST

REPORTS TO: PRINCIPAL / VICE PRINCIPAL

REQUIREMENT: Valid NJ State Instructional Certificate #1000 or #1001

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The role of the math interventionist is to support teachers and students in implementing effective instructional practices aligned with New Jersey standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics education, instructional coaching, and a passion for supporting educators in their professional growth. 

• Full-time, tenure track position
• Knowledge of  Innovamat a MUST!
• Understanding of curriculum development, differentiation of instruction, use of formative and summative assessment data to drive instruction and effective use of technology in a blended classroom
• Prepare and deliver lesson plans to students demonstrating deep knowledge of content standards
• Ability to work effectively with adult learners modeling excellent interpersonal skills for working with teachers, administration, and staff
• Possess effective communication, listening, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
• Computer skills including  effective use of learning management systems and Google applications.
• Performance of this position will be conducted by the administration in accordance with the NJ Administrative Code.
• Upholds and enforces school rules, administrative regulations and Board policy.

EVALUATION:

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with State guidelines and the provision of the Board's policy on evaluation of certified personnel.

Must participate in NJDOE Criminal History Clearance.
