Description

Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a part-time Early Childhood Educator/Site Director at Palmer Lake Elementary School beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.  Must have, or be eligible to receive a current Colorado license with appropriate endorsement requirements for an Early Childhood Teacher. Preferred candidates will have an associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood or similar degree and experience working with preschool age children. Must have a solid foundation in early literacy and a genuine understanding of the developmental needs of pre-school students. Looking for a teammate with strength in collaboration and communication. The Early Childhood Teacher educates preschool age children through age-appropriate learning experiences and ensures the program meets all CDEC licensing requirement. Preschool classrooms are inclusive environments that serve students with various developmental needs. This position will work 5.5 hours per day, Monday through Thursday.   The first day for teachers new to our district is July 31, 2026. 

Exact placement on the pay schedule will be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting.  As a guideline, we offer up to 18 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 19, per school board policy. This pay range is based on education and experience levels with a range of  $44,050 - $75,279. The current teacher pay schedule can be found on our website.
