REPORTS TO: Asst. Superintendent of Teaching and Learning
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 7:45 am - 3:15 pm, M - F, from July 1 - July 31, 2026.
JOB DESCRIPTION: This office specialist position plays a vital role in providing essential administrative and organizational support to the administrator of the summer school program. Key responsibilities include Administrative Support, Scheduling, Transportation & Logistics, Attendance Records. Additionally, this position supports the school's office and contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the school through clerical and receptionist services. Other related duties may be assigned as necessary.
Responsibilities for this role include:
- Performing clerical and computer-based tasks, including data and record-keeping and preparing correspondence.
- Answering phones, greeting visitors, and assisting the public and staff at the front desk.
- Supporting student health care needs, as well as supervising designated areas such as the grounds and cafeteria.
- Contributing to the efficient operation of the school office by providing a wide range of administrative and organizational support.
This position requires a highly organized and professional individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to supporting both the athletic program and the school's broader mission.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of office experience.
- Computer literacy. Proficiency with Microsoft office programs: Word, Excel, Google docs, Publisher.
- Knowledge of modern office methods, practices, and procedures; business English, spelling, and math calculations.
- Ability to multitask and remain flexible in a fast paced environment.
- Must have excellent customer service skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical demands needed: ability to communicate with students, co-workers, and the public; ability to communicate over the telephone; ability to respond to telephone, bells, students, co-workers, etc.; ability to respond to classroom disturbances, visual cues, student requests, etc.; ability to read written materials; ability to operate office equipment; ability to carry or lift light loads (25 lbs).
PREFERENCES:
- Knowledge of Power School.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English highly desirable.
