Description:

  • A Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) Caregiver Aide with the Allendale Public Schools District.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Must be self-motivated, with a positive attitude, with high standards.
  • Must have a strong work ethic.
  • Must have the ability and willingness to do physical tasks.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain effective and positive working relationships with other employees, along with the public.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Able to work well with children at the preschool level; able to follow guidelines, procedures, and discipline consistent with the current classroom policy. Able to take direction from the classroom teacher.

Physical Demands: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The employee is frequently required to reach with arms and hands, stand, walk, and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 50-80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate but distractions can be frequent due to building traffic.

Mental Functions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to compare, analyze, communicate both orally and in writing, copy, coordinate, instruct, compute, synthesize, evaluate, use interpersonal skills, compile, and negotiate.
