Bus Driver

Building:   Transportation Garage

Reports to:   Transportation Supervisor, Superintendent or designee

Certification:   High School Diploma or equivalent; CDL w/ Passenger Endorsement

Qualifications:  

• FBI / BCI Criminal Background Check
• Proper CDL credentials; prior experience preferred
• Current on pre-service and in-service trainings
• Ability to cope with stressful situations 
• Available to respond appropriately to emergencies
• Physically capable of safely and appropriately lifting and managing preschool and special needs children, if necessary
• Flexible schedule; available for extra-curricular trips (day, evening, weekends)
• Meet all mandated health requirements including negative pre-employment drug test
•  Background records check free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment
•  Participation in drug and alcohol testing as mandated by FMCSA pursuant to 49C.F.R. 382
•  Complies with drug-free workplace rules and all board policies
•  Current with technology and other workplace innovations that support job functions
•  Have acceptable references and work record; be neat and presentable in appearance
•  Be dependable and prompt; relates well with children
•  Be able to work with people of all ages; have good attendance record

Salary & Benefits: Per current salary schedule, BOSS Negotiated Agreement $20.16-$29.71

Hours: 4 hours per day - 5 days per week
